If email service is available for the hosting account, use cPanel's Email Accounts area to create and manage domain-based mailboxes.
- Confirm the domain's MX and related DNS records point to the intended email provider.
- Create the mailbox with a unique strong password and an appropriate storage limit.
- Use the device-configuration details shown by cPanel for IMAP, SMTP, ports, and encryption.
- Send inbound and outbound test messages using an external mailbox.
- Configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records according to the active email provider.
Do not change MX records until the destination mailboxes exist. Keep the old provider available during a migration and account for forwarding, aliases, shared mailboxes, archived mail, contacts, calendars, and mobile devices.
