You do not need to transfer a domain to use it with a HostAvvy website or an accepted future hosting service. Keep registration at the current registrar when that gives the business the clearest ownership and recovery path.

- When native hosting checkout is enabled, select I will use my existing domain and update my nameservers.
- Enter only a domain you control and wait for the order to be reviewed and accepted.
- Verify the website and email configuration before removing old records or service.
Changing nameservers can replace the active DNS zone. Record existing website, email, verification, subdomain, and third-party service records before making the change. If email is hosted elsewhere, preserve the required MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.
