An SSL certificate can be issued only after the domain points to the correct hosting service and the certificate authority can validate it.
- Confirm the domain and any required
wwwhostname resolve to the hosting account. - Use cPanel's SSL status or certificate tool to issue or verify the included certificate.
- Open the site over HTTPS and inspect the certificate hostname and validity.
- Configure one consistent redirect from HTTP to HTTPS.
- Update the website address, internal links, canonical URLs, and external integrations where needed.
If the browser reports mixed content, the page is loading some images, scripts, fonts, or styles over HTTP. Update those references instead of hiding the warning. Redirect loops usually mean HTTPS is being forced in multiple conflicting layers such as an application plugin, web server rule, and proxy.
