Inventory
- Website files, databases, software versions, plugins, themes, and scheduled tasks.
- Mailboxes, aliases, forwarding, mailing lists, and DNS records.
- Forms, stores, payment integrations, APIs, analytics, redirects, and subdomains.
- Current host, registrar, DNS, application, and database access.
Sequence
- Copy data to the destination without closing the old service.
- Test the destination using a temporary URL or local hosts-file mapping.
- Verify pages, logins, forms, data, email, SSL, scheduled tasks, and redirects.
- Change DNS during the agreed window.
- Monitor errors and propagation, then take a final backup.
Keep the old service available until the new environment is verified and the rollback window has passed.
